lyrics
Through those faces furnished; a stolen dream!
A quiet intake of that meta-scene.
“A great little nation” for the entitled few.
Tried and tested! No revolution soon! Revolution soon?
I try to remember this, not let it slip away.
Betrayed by an ancestry; born to grey!
Stark lines stalked the begging bowl, now repeats again.
In Berlin skies through Dublin eyes…
…seethe again!
Internal crossfire; cultural stand!
Where I’m from, who I am?
Dislocated or tethered strong?
Where I am, who I’m from?
I try to remember this, not let it slip away.
Part of a wayward set, part ingrained.
Held fast by a history that proudly proclaims….
In Berlin skies through Dublin eyes…
…breathe again?
I try to make sense of this, not let it slip away.
And hold onto everything I hear them say.
Held fast by a history that proudly proclaimed….
In Berlin skies through Dublin eyes…
…we’re here again…
In a moment my head is home.
A case in fact I am not alone!
A question burning, how the future falls?
A question lost in question formed!

First full lenght album by the band, preceded by the two excellent EP's 'Fault Line' and 'Reflections'. In line with their now characteristic sound and influences, October Burns Black deliver a great collection of tracks whose spell is impossible to resist.
Classy and classic gothic rock at it's best. Dionysos Nyktelios
I've enjoyed The Wake since the 90s. The new album feels like a trip to right where they left off! Goth Rock at it's best! I can't wait to see where they go from here!! aklosowski22
New wave of Gothic Rock at it's finest. This band has top level talent from well renowned acts involved so wasn't the least bit surprised upon hearing the opening track. If you miss late 80's to mid 90's gothic rock bands, I can't recommend this one enough. m4rkos1334
A truly original blend of haunting electronics and gothic drama mirroring the complex and unknowable nature of human emotions. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 30, 2023
“Strangers” is packed with wonderfully menacing electro-goth—late-night horror movie music for vampire dance parties. Bandcamp New & Notable May 8, 2023
French artist Feu Follet returns with a collection of hooky, synth-driven tracks that bubble & pop like the best ’80s new wave. Bandcamp New & Notable Jul 31, 2022
I've always loved this album... Glad to finally have it in vinyl. This release stands the test of time, and is still better than much of what you'll hear today from the current gothrock scene. Such a great band. doctsect
